Yesterday I ate a great meal ! It is called Batata vada. Even you can make this , it is so simple.

The ingredients that you have to use :

half a kilo potatoes, 2 non chopped onions , 3 green chilli’s, 1 cup of bengal gram flour, 1 piec of ginger, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 table spoon of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 2 tablespoon of coconut grated, half a cup chopped coriander leaves , 1 easpoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon turmeric, half a teaspoon red hot cilli powder, half a teaspoon comin seeds, a pinch of soda-bi carb, oil for deep frying and for last a little salt for taste!

now how to make this meal :

you have to boil the potatoes till they are soft, real realy soft so you can mash them afterwards. If you have done that then set aside the mashed potatoes.

Then blend garlic, ginger and green chilli’s to a fine paste, make sure there are no blocks in it.

Take the mashed potatoes and mix it with the paste you just made and with these ingredients onions, coriander leaves, sugar, lime jouce and salt.

heat the oil, when it is hot enough then add the muster seeds and curry leave.let them make a crack then after that remove them from the heat and mix it with your special potato mix. But not just a quick mix, some really good turns in it.

Now take the cumin seeds , bengal gram flour, salt, red chilli and turmeric powder and bang it smooth!Add a teaspoon of oil when you bang the batter.

Now finally dive the potato mixture and dip it in the batter you just made and deep fry till it turns golden brown.

It is just that easy, if i can do it you can do it too.

Hope i will see you on my next post too !
